Willetton Crows Introduce a Father & Son Team

The Willetton Crows Cricket Club today announced it would introduce a father, son one day cricket team for the 2018/19 season, which kicks off in just under three months.

Established in 1973, the Club forms part of the South Metropolitan Cricket Association (SMCA) and has five teams, including this special father, son team.

Speaking about the new one day side, Club President, Luke Fisher, said the Club had made the decision to establish a one day father, son team in an effort to strengthen its ties with the community and continue to build on its family culture.

“I’m really proud to be part of a family friendly cricket club, a club that’s seen a number of fathers and sons play together over the years, one where you can develop your skills and fitness and then at the end of the day kick back and have a laugh together,” he said.

“The resounding feedback from our father, son duos is that playing together in one team is a rather unique and exciting opportunity. It’s of course about beating the opposition, but it’s also about settling it once and for all at family gatherings – who is the better cricketer?”

The Willetton Crows Cricket Club is currently seeking expressions of interest from cricketers of all skill levels above that age of 15 via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or Facebook.
